**VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR JUMP ROPE FOR HEART!**
The event takes place on two dates: Tuesday, Feb.14th and Wed., Feb. 15th. Volunteers are needed from 3:35 - 5:15 or anytime in-between. Jobs include serving refreshments, being a contest judge, counting money, filling out certificates, etc... All on the job training! Please contact Pam Lahmann at 970-1778 or e-mail her at plahmann@waukesha.k12.wi.us. Thank you so much!
Jump Rope For Heart Update!
If you didn't see the packet of information from your child, I have the information here. If your child wants to do Jump Rope for Heart and they are in grades 2 -5, they do need a permission slip which is located on the flap of the Jump Rope for Heart envelope. 1st graders will be jumping in their PE class on Feb. 15th so they will not need a permission slip. If anyone has raised $5.00 and they bring a signed "lucky duck" coupon back to school, they will receive "Quacky" the duck. All other prizes will come around Easter time. Please have your child bring the money raised on the day they will be jumping. That is either Feb. 14th or Feb. 15th. Remember, there is an easy, on-line way to raise money too! Your child should have the instructions for that. IF you have any other questions, please call Mrs. Lahmann at 970-1778.
**We need parent volunteers on both days (2/14 and 2/15) after school to make this event work. Thanks!!!!

Kindergarten Class is in need of Adult Volunteers!
Kindergarten needs an adult volunteer to work one-on-one with a student (showing flashcards) from 8:35am-9:00am Monday, Wednesday and/or Thursday (one adult per day). We would like the adult to commit to at least the first school trimester. Volunteers can contact Sarah Meyrose at 970-1746 or email smeyrose@waukesha.k12.wi.
Here is what will be taking place at the October School Board Meeting on Oct 12th.

Have any GENTLY USED SPORTS EQUIPMENT?
Basketballs, soccer balls, kickballs, jump ropes, hula hoops, "skip its" or footballs just lying around in your closet or garage? Why not clean house and consider donating that "stuff" to Heyer School. Students could use the equipment for recess time. Equipment can be dropped off in the gym or Mrs. Lahmann's office anytime. Got a flat - Don't worry, we can take care of that too. Thanks in advance!
ITEMS NEEDED!
Mrs. Weigl in the Health Room is running low on extra used kids clothing (needed when students get their pants wet or rip them, don't have mittens, etc.). Items needed are kids sweatshirts, pants, underwear and socks, as well as used hats, gloves and mittens, too. Please drop donations in the Health Room or Office. Thank you!
