ACTIVITIES:

Happy Days: The Musical runs the next two weekends. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm. You can get in to see the show for only $3 with your West ID, but get your tickets early before all the best seats are gone. See Mrs. Abraham in the main office to buy your tickets. If you want to sit with your friends, make sure to buy your tickets at the same time.

Are you interested in skiing or snowboarding at Granite Peak Ski Resort in Wausau? The Ski/Snowboard Club is planning a trip on Saturday, February 18th. This is open to all West students. A minimum of 30 students is needed to make this trip possible with a maximum of 53 students. If interested, please see Mrs. Abraham in the Main Office for information and forms.

The Wolverines play tonight at home against Catholic Memorial at 7:30pm and then Saturday at Burlington with a 5:45pm tip-off time.

There will be a Boys Golf Team meeting for players and prospective players on Tuesday, February 14th at 6:00 pm at Merrill Hills Country Club. The meeting will be in the main clubhouse building.

Many people believe that homosexuality goes against their religious beliefs, but is this true? Come to the Gay Straight Alliance this week and join the conversation. GSA meets Tuesday after school in the Guidance area. We will not be meeting next week.

Chinese Language & Culture Club will be having a meeting on Tuesday, February 14th. All are welcome!

Do you want to read about your school or national issues on a local level? West's school newspaper,The Paw, has plenty of articles to satisfy your interests. Movie reviews, your school play, and some upcoming changes to West are just a few of the topics you can read about. These articles are written by the West yearbook staff just for you! Ask your friends, they might have written an article or two! Visit the West News tab at the school's homepage or visit myhsj.org to read The Paw.

Interact is selling carnations this week for Valentine's Day during all three lunches. They will be $2 a piece, so please make sure to order one for those you are about. They will be delivered on Valentine's Day!

Be sure to stop by Ecology Club brownies and bracelet sale all this week during 1st & 2nd lunch.

GUIDANCE:

Scholarship applicants! Waukesha West's updated Common Scholarship Application is now available. Please visit your Guidance Office Career Corner to review the 9 scholarships offered on this form, and their requirements. Deadline to apply is Friday, March 23.

UW-Milwaukee will be visiting West on Friday, February 10th at 10:15 am in the Guidance Office.
